	The mattress protectors have a foam layer backing behind the zipper. This stops bed bugs and nymphs from escaping through the zip teeth and end part of the zip.	Bed bugs or their nymphs can escape through the teeth of some mattress protectors. But not through ours.

	In this case at the end of the zipper is a gap which can allow nymphs and bed bugs to escape even if the zipper were to move a notch.	Even if the zipper where to be pulled back the foam layer will stop bed bugs and nymphs from escaping.
